Social Media in the Workplace & Playing Nicely with Others

The way we connect to our friends has changed dramatically in just the last few years, and so has the way we communicate at work.  With connectivity through Facebook, Twitter and more, the way it affects our productivity is increasingly under scrutiny by corporations.   Through hiring companies such as Philosophy IB, Employers can now analyze how co-workers interact (or decline interaction) and communicate (or not) by gauging metrics gained via social media.  Companies are now hiring consultants to come in and bring teams together where there may have been strife before.  How do I get marketing to speak to R & D? Corporations want maximum efficiency within the confines of the pipeline and build relationships that are increasing between remote teams.
